Vampires vs. Werewolves Blog Hop 115

VampireWerewolvesBlogHopNO. NO. NO.  Everybody knows that the plural of vampire is vampire.

At least Black Swan fans know that.

Vampires and Werewolves. They are two of the most well known and popular paranormal creatures today. Bones from Night Huntress (Chapter 32 anyone? *wink*) or Alcide Herveaux from the Sookie Stackhouse series, etc. This hop is all about the vampires and werewolves! Are you a vampire lover or werewolf lover?

If you had to choose would you cuddle up with your sexy dangerous vampire throughout the long nights or would you rather a sexy testosterone filled dominate werewolf that let out the most interesting of growls at *ahem* fun moments? (Actually, for readers of the Black Swan books, you know that there are other kinds of vampire and werewolves besides these two stereotypical renditions.)

But if you had to choose: vampires or werewolves?

  1. I don’t know if I could choose. Vampire in your books are pretty brutal but I LOVE Baka. I also wouldn’t mind cuddling up with a certain alpha wolf I can’t wait to learn more about very soon 😉

  2. Vampire….although I’d love the idea of the big bad wolfie having his paws on me….the idea of being sniffed…..well …that could be a turn on!

  3. Oh crap. My first thought was ‘You are going to make me pick one?’ But, after some thought, I think it would have to be vampire. I have always been kind of fascinated by them, in any type of incarnation. You might say in love with the idea of fantasizing about being with one.

  4. I can’t choose between the two! I all depends on what I am reading or watching at the time!

  5. I love both Vampire and Werewolf novels and movies, but I would have to say I would rather cuddle with a Werewolf. Vampires are cold creatures and Werewolves are hot, furry and cuddly creatures!
Thanks for the blog hop and giveaway! I would love to win!

  6. werewolf everytime. Bad ass alpha male scent mate and goes after her, oh yeah, thats the one I want the werewolf.

  7. Vampires all the way! Werewolves are aggressive, possessive things with a drive for conformity—traits some people see as protective and masculine, but absolutely turn me OFF.

  8. I love, and read, both. but I would have to say that werewolves probably have a bit of an edge. I absolutely loved the show Dark Shadows (i know, that reveals my age), and while i liked Barnabas i LOVED Quentin

  9. I am gonna have to say wolves, I hate being cold!!!! Am looking forward to reading these books… I heard they were fantastic reads!!! pick me ! please!!!

  10. Thank you for the informative stop on your blog.
I read both types of books, if it is a good story, then it’s a good story and I’m happy. However, I am drawn to that bad boy, with the rugged good looks. So, weres typically fall into that category.
However, if you’re looking for those rugged vamps, check out The Shadow Wranglers series by Sarah McCarty. The vamps are also friends with some equally rugged weres.

  11. Werewolf all the way! A little nibble here and there is fine but vampires can literally suck you dry. Plus werewolves can be an animal in bed (not literally though)!

  12. I love both but werewolves/shifters are my favorites because they are more alpha and dominant 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

  13. I love both but tend to read more vamp books. I love their loving yet bloodthirsty attitude. They’re strong but can be gentle when need be. Thanks for the giveaway as I love the sound of your book!

  14. I fell in love with werewolves after reading Bonded by Nicky Charles so it’s werewolf for me. Got to be a big bad Alpha with a soft centre.

  15. Although there are several wolves that I love; I have to say that the vampire are generally more attractive to me.. Baka is one sexy vamp!

  16. I hate to choose, but I choose vampires….I think…I mean I LOVE Eric Northman to pieces, but cuddling up with a nice sexy dominate alpha male wolf sounds good to me too!! Ugh!!! Okay…Vampires. Yeah I pick Vampires!
    Thanks for the great giveaway!!

  17. I am Team Vampire thanks to the mouth watering Eric Northman!! But I wouldn’t kick a sexy alpha wolf outta my bed for eating crackers if you know what I mean 😉 😉 I would love to read the books!
    Thanks for the great giveaway!!

    • Ashley – I used to feel the same way. Then I made the HUGE mistake of watching True Blood on HBO – which RUINED a series I had previously loved for me. Now I can’t get all those horrendously, gruesome, ugly, nauseas images out of my mind. I stopped two seasons ago. Wish I had NEVER turned on the TV.

  18. Wow – what question. I’m trying to decide, actually. Prior to reading your series, I probably would’ve chosen vampire – mainly because hot flashes are miserable, and a nice cold body in bed would be heaven! But most of the vamps in your books are pretty nasty, with one majorly hot exception….so far. The werewolves haven’t impressed me much so far. We’ve had one whiny baby, and one too impressed with himself. However, it seems they can be taught. On that basis alone, I’m going to have to vote werewolf….especially if we can find one as beautiful as Alcide!

    • Yes. Up to now, my werewolves have demonstrated that, like humans, they span the spectrum of personality and are not all fantasies. However, I will still be hoping to win you over in a few months. Moonlight

Thank you for all the fabulous feedback and praise. (Blushing.) You will turn my head.

      • I’m truly looking forward to Moonlight, as well as whatever else you write! As for the “feedback and praise”…think of it as positive reinforcement to encourage you to keep up the good work! I’m on to a good thing, and would hate to see it end. LOL Happy writing!

  19. I love both, both Weres are just a bit more.. animalistic and Alpha *rawr*
    Happy Thursday!

  21. I love a sexy possessive growly alpha wolf!! Sigh! In a perfect world I get a menage and have both!

  22. Am I glad I decided to enter this hop. I am new to your books Victoria and I look forward to reading them. I seem to gravitate towards weres more than vamps. But I love them both.

    • Michelle, I’m delighted that this blog hop led you to the discovery of this serial saga and hope you love it. Like you, I think life is too short for choosing if you can have both choices.

  23. Don’t get me wrong werewolves are great and all~ but, it’s vampires all the way for me! Order of the Black Swan sounds really fascinating~ and you obviously love it! So now I’d love to read it! Thank you for the lovely hop~

  24. Hmm. For this particular question, I think I have to go with werewolf! Vampires just don’t scream *cuddles* for me 😉

  25. I thought I was into vampires, but lately weres have been winning. They are a good mate with warm bodies! It really depends on how a book portrays each of them as to which I favor. Thanks for joining the hop!

    • YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! In certainly does depend on how the author has shaped the creature as to whether you want to take them home or not. So. Case by case basis then. You are very wise.
